Airbus Foundation – Discovery Space
The Airbus Foundation Discovery Space is an online portal designed to help young people understand science through the world of aerospace and It’s a science education partner for teachers and parents to engage students with STEM. ESERO provides a wide range of excellent resources which are freely available for STEM teachers. Tim Peake related resources, using lego robotics to bring Mars exploration to the classroom and a whole database of resources populate the site which you can find at:

ESA’s Expedition: Home
Due to Covid-19 and ESA Education has launched Expedition: Home, a one-stop website for kids and parents to do fun space-based activities and keep learning while at home. The minisite features plenty of activities for three age ranges: 3-6, 6-12 and 12-18 years old.
Institute of Mechanical Engineers
During the school closures for Covid-19, you can get access to free downloadable STEM activities to do at home while schools are closed at www.imeche.org/stemathome. The activities cater to Key Stages 1 to 4 and can be done at home by parents with children, or used by teachers or schools still open for children of key workers. Each activity features instructional step by step videos, accessible kit lists that can be bought online and downloadable worksheets.
Space Awareness
Space Awareness is a project that strives to inform children and young adults about current research, issues and career opportunities offered by space. They have many peer reviewed educational activities for ages 8-18, which you can filter by education level. Space Awareness also has lesson plans, assessment guides and hosts a free online course targeted at primary and secondary school teachers and science communication professionals interested in developing their skills and use space for education.

Space Station Educator’s Resource Guide
Lockheed Martin and NASA created this teacher’s guide about the International Space Station. There are activities for grades 3 to 9, relating to all disciplines studied on board the ISS, including ideas for local competitions.

EUMETSAT Learning Zone
The leading European Weather Satellite operator EUMetSat has a great Learning Zone with teacher and student activities in the areas of weather, atmosphere, oceans, climate and spacecraft.
Europlanet Outreach & Education
Europlanet has a wide range of educational resources including video and illustrated guides aimed at engaging 10-14 year olds in planetary science. They also run activities such as workshops and contests including the annual Europlanet Prize for Public Engagement.
Galileo Teacher Training Programme
The Galileo Teacher Training Programme is a legacy of the International Year of Astronomy 2009. Resources from Designing A Space TElescope to Black Body Radiation are available for free on their website.
