Space Universities Network Privacy Policy

This privacy policy will explain how Space Universities Network (SUN) uses the personal data that we collect from our members and other website users.   • Email Address
  • Institution/Company Staff Information Page (publically accessible)
  • Photos and Videos at Space Universities Network organised events. Members will be informed in advance of this data being recorded.

How do we store your data?

Space Universities Network ensures the secure storage of collected data. Personal data, beyond what is publicly available, is stored in a private and confidential Microsoft Teams environment hosted by the University of Bristol. Access to this data is restricted to the co-chairs, administrator, and teaching associate. The Industry, Resources, and Curriculum subgroup data are securely stored by the respective subgroup members.

A guest speaker list is maintained and stored in a secure JISC file storage system accessible only to logged-in members.

Space Universities Network retains member data used by the network for six months after the member leaves the network. After this period, the data will be deleted unless permission is obtained to continue using the data for the purposes of Space Universities Network.

Marketing

Space Universities Network would like to keep its members informed about the services we offer and updates through periodic communications, primarily in the form of a monthly newsletter distributed via a mailing list. If you have consented to receive this newsletter, you can always opt-out at a later date by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the newsletter.

Additionally, Space Universities Network provides a JISC mailing list for our members to communicate with the wider membership. While you may opt out of these emails, please note that access to member-specific resources in the JISC file store requires membership in this list.

Your data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
