Come and present your work at the UK Space Conference, meet space industry and talk about jobs and listen to an international line up of space experts!
 

Space Universities Network and the UK Space Agency have teamed up to provide an exciting opportunity for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students at the UK Space Conference. This 2 day event will be held in Manchester on 16th and 17th July 2025, and could enable you to connect with industry, share new ideas and shape the future of space in the UK. The interest in space in the UK is growing, and you are a part of this future!

The future of the Space Industry in the UK will need Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, but also Policy and Law, Humanities and Art, and Economics and Business research as well. Applications are welcomed from everyone with a passion for space!

Who can apply?

This opportunity is open to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students at enrolled at UK universities in the 2024-25 academic year.

What does this opportunity cover?

For successful applicants, SUN will cover the cost of:

  • Entrance to the UK Space Conference for both Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th July 2025 (~£250)
  • Accommodation booked by SUN in a Manchester IQ Accomodation Property (Ensuite room) for the nights of Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th July 2025 (~£220)
  • Networking dinner in the evening of Tuesday 14th July with the other participants in this scheme.

SUN will also reimburse up to £75 for travel to Manchester from within the UK, and £30 for food for the duration of the conference.

How many students will be supported?

We are looking to support in the region of 12 students in this opportunity – comprising of 8 posters and 4 posters with presentations.

Will all the participants in this scheme be at the same hotel?

Yes! We’ve made sure everyone will be in the same property so there is plenty of opportunity to network with your peers!
