Building and testing an amplification circuit to test strain gauges – The University of Nottingham

This case study covers a 4 week process for teaching students how to build and test an amplification circuit in a space based context. It was created by SUN member Jez Turner and is based off the first 4 weeks of the Further Applied Engineering module he teaches at the University of Nottingham. It is designed for foundation level students but can be scaled up to be included in year 1 or 2 of an undergraduate degree. In the video below Jez will walk you through the case study and his approach to teaching the module. If you are interested in teaching this activity at your institution contact jez.turner@nottingham.ac.uk who can provide you with further resources and information pertinent to the case study.
